No Referees. No Weight Classes. Real Skills for Real Threats.
The Difference Between Sport and Survival
In a boxing ring or an octagon, there are rules. You know who your opponent is, there are no weapons, and a referee is there to stop the fight. On the street, or in a protection scenario, there are no rules. Threats are unpredictable, unfair, and potentially lethal.
Aegis Eagle’s Close Combat Course is not a martial arts class. It is a system of Personal Safety Combatives. We strip away the flashy moves and traditional rituals to focus on one goal: Neutralize the threat and escape safely.
Our Hybrid System: Sanda Meets Tactical Science
We combine the explosive striking power of Chinese Sanda (Sanshou) with the brutal efficiency of military Close Quarters Battle (CQB) concepts.
1. The Sanda Foundation (Powered by Champions) Our striking curriculum is led by former Provincial and Municipal Sanda Champions.
- Why Sanda? It is tested, full-contact, and fast. You will learn how to generate maximum power in punches and kicks, and how to execute—and defend against—fast takedowns.
- The Benefit: You learn from elite athletes who understand distance, timing, and the physics of a fight better than anyone.
2. Tactical Adaptation (The Reality Check) We adapt these combat skills for security and self-defense scenarios.
- No "Ground and Pound": In MMA, going to the ground is a strategy. In a street fight with multiple attackers or hidden weapons, the ground is dangerous. We teach you Anti-Grappling—how to stay on your feet, and if you fall, how to get up instantly.
- 360-Degree Awareness: You rarely fight just one person. We train you to scan for multiple attackers and exit routes while under pressure.
Core Curriculum Modules
Module 1: Situational Awareness & De-escalation
The fight you avoid is the fight you win.
- Pre-Threat Indicators: Reading body language (the "tells") before an attack is launched.
- Positioning: How to stand and move so you are never cornered.
- Verbal Command: Using your voice as a weapon to deter aggressors without physical contact.
Module 2: High-Impact Striking
Ending it quickly.
- Pre-emptive Strikes: When violence is unavoidable, action beats reaction. We teach strikes to vulnerable points (groin, eyes, throat) designed to incapacitate an attacker instantly to allow for escape.
- Close Range Tools: Elbows, knees, and head-control techniques for when there is no room to swing.
Module 3: Edged Weapon Defense
Surviving the knife. In China, firearms are rare, but knives and blunt objects are common threats.
- The Reality: We don't teach fancy movie disarms. We teach survival.
- Technique: Control the weapon arm, disrupt the attack, strike, and disengage. We use shock knives and marking blades in training to simulate the stress of a real blade.
Module 4: Third-Party Protection (For Security Pros)
Protecting the Principal.
- Body Cover: How to physically shield a client or family member during an assault.
- Extraction: Fighting to create a path to safety for your VIP, not just for yourself.
Training Methodology
Pressure Testing Technique implies nothing without stress. Once you learn a skill, we test it. You will perform drills while exhausted, in the dark, or facing multiple opponents in "Redman" suits. This inoculates your brain against the "freeze" response common in real emergencies.
Legal Compliance (Justified Defense) We teach Responsible Force. In China, the laws regarding self-defense (正当防卫) are strict. We educate you on the legal boundaries—how to protect yourself without crossing the line into criminal assault, ensuring you survive the legal aftermath as well as the physical one.
